Check 3CX SBC Version on Raspberry Pi

First login as root user to ensure you have sufficient permissions. Then from secure shell run the following command:

aptitude versions 3cxsbc

you should see something similar to this:

i = installed version and p = available version

If no available versions appear you will need to check for available updates to ensure you are on the latest version.

Check for Available 3CX SBC Updates on Raspberry Pi

First login as root user to ensure you have sufficient permissions. Then from secure shell run the following command:

aptget update

Once this has completed, you can re-run the above step to check if there are any available versions.

i = installed version and p = available version

If there is a value under p. Then you will need to update your software.

Update 3CX SBC on Raspberry Pi

First login as root user to ensure you have sufficient permissions to update the software. Then from secure shell run the following command:

apt-get upgrade

Once finished, you will need to restart the 3cxsbc and rsyslog services to complete the update.

From secure shell run the following command to restart the 3cxsbc service:

service 3cxsbc restart

Then run the following command to restart the rsyslog service:

service rsyslog restart

Your Raspberry Pi should now be updated. To check the version use the following command:

aptitude versions 3cxsbc

you should see something similar to this:

Don’t quote me on this, but I think March 2014 build version number is 1.0.0.35466, May 2014 build version number is 1.0.0.35608, June 2014 build version number is 1.0.0.35707 and July 2014 version number 1.0.0.36732.
